At the University of Utah, my urology residency provided state of the art training in both open and robotic surgery as well as minimally invasive stone surgeries. Investing in an additional year of training has provided a unique skill set and approach that I hope will benefit my patient’s care. Please scroll down to see just a few of the common problems we can address and surgeries we perform in urologic reconstruction. For more patient information check out my videos.

Urethral Reconstruction

Management of urethral strictures and other diseases of the urethra.

Urinary Diversion

Using bowel to create both continent (neo-bladder, Indiana pouch) and incontinent (conduits with stomas) solutions for when the bladder is removed.

Prosthetic Urology

Offering permanent and dependable surgical solutions for erectile dysfunction and male stress urinary incontinence.

Complex fistulas

Both men and women can unfortunately suffer from abnormal connections between the urinary system that cause leakage of urine. (examples: vesicovaginal fistula and rectourethral fistula)

Complex Genital Surgery

Peyronie’s disease, buried penis repair, hypospadias, genitourinary fistulas, and genital traumas all may need surgical solutions.

Ureteral Disease

Although rare, scar tissue of the ureter (drainage tube for the kidney) can need complex surgical repairs.

Other clinical interests in urology

Robotic Surgery

Kidney surgery and pelvic surgeries often lend themselves well to minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic or robotic surgery. This uses small incisions and precision instruments to perform surgeries that would otherwise require a large incision of the abdomen. Ask me or your provider if it is possible to do your surgery using this technique.

Prostate, bladder, testis, and kidney cancers are some of the most common cancers we treat in urology. They affect thousands of Americans each year and the team of providers at Urology Nevada are here for you.
